Registration continues for the Citrus and Specialty Crop Expo, scheduled for Aug. 21-22 at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, Florida.

The expo’s location in central Florida should appeal to citrus producers from the cold-hardy citrus region in North Florida, South Georgia and South Alabama. Josh McGill, show director, said the industry’s growth in that region is exciting to see and hopes to see many of those growers in Tampa in August.

“We’ve seen a lot of growth in that area and have actually seen more and more farmers; actually, have already seen several North Florida and South Georgia farmers come from there in the cold-hardy citrus region. It’s exciting to see the industry develop a little bit up there,” McGill said. “We’re excited to have those growers come down and excited to see some new faces on the floor.”
