Rainfall is plentiful in most areas across the Southeast. But in one spot, rain is starting to lack, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor.

While most of Alabama has sufficient moisture, areas in Mobile and Baldwin counties in the southern part of the state near the Gulf of Mexico are abnormally dry. Both dry spots are concentrated to the central areas of each county.

Not far from those two Alabama counties near the gulf are two Florida counties that are starting to experience abnormally dry conditions. They are Escambia and Santa Rose counties, with dry areas in the central part of each county. The rest of Florida has sufficient moisture, including the central-west coast where dry conditions had been present for an extended period of time.

The El Niño weather pattern has certainly impacted Georgia, especially in the southern part of the state. Persistent rains have provided sufficient moisture for the state as there are no dry conditions present.

South Carolina has sufficient moisture, while North Carolina has several counties that are abnormally dry, mostly concentrated to the southeastern part of the state.
