Thursday’s release of the U.S. Drought Monitor shows that much of South Georgia remains abnormally dry. As far west as Decatur County had partial abnormally dry conditions stretching all the way to Camden County along the Atlantic Coast. As far north as Atkinson County, Berrien County and Cook County were abnormally dry.
North Florida remains abnormally dry, stretching from Wakulla County, Leon County and Gasden County east to the Atlantic Coast. Parts of Lake County, Orange County, Osceola County and most of Polk County is abnormally dry as well.
Most of South Florida is either abnormally dry or in a moderate drought, specifically Palm Beach County, Broward County, Miami-Dade County, Monroe County, Collier County and Hendry County.
Alabama has sufficient moisture throughout the state.
