Get ready for a jam-packed day of educational sessions, networking and flavorful food tastings. Doors to the 2023 Florida Grower Citrus Show open at 8:00 a.m., and a hot breakfast will be served. If you didn’t preregister, on-site registration will be available at the entrance of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service, U.S. Horticultural Research Laboratory.
The event will be held in Fort Pierce at the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Indian River Research and Education Center and the USDA building. Attendee parking will be located in the USDA North parking lot and the grass lot across from the UF/IFAS building. A tram will be available to transport attendees to registration.
Be sure to arrive early and walk through the trade show before the general session begins at 9:00 a.m.
Come with an appetite! At 11:10 a.m., the trade show will transform into a tailgate party. Exhibitors will have their own specialty tailgate food available for sampling. Growers will have the opportunity to win $500 by voting for their favorite tailgate food. All completed voting cards are due by 1:00 p.m. at the tailgate hub. A randomly drawn grower voting card will be announced at 1:30 p.m. The exhibitor with the most votes will be announced as the tailgate food champion. A BBQ lunch and tailgate games will be provided in the tailgate hub located in the center of the trade show.
The Florida Grower Citrus Show will wrap up with concurrent citrus and vegetable sessions from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
