South Carolina Small Fruit Growers Meeting Scheduled for Feb. 13

South Carolina producers should be mindful that a small fruit growers meeting will be held on Thursday, Feb. 13 at the Sandhills Research and Education Center in Columbia, South Carolina.

The meeting will start at 10 a.m. and conclude at 2 p.m. It will cost $20 at the door online through the link below.

Clemson Extension Commercial Horticulture Extension Agent Andy Rollins and experts from around the Southeast will lead meeting at the Lake House at Sandhills REC with a focus on a major disease impacting strawberry production – Neopestalotiopsis. Commercial small fruit growers have an opportunity to learn about the disease and its biological control.

Participants must be present for the entire training to be eligible to sign for recertification credits.

Producers should register for the event ahead of time so that food can be planned accordingly.  This meeting is strongly focused on Neopestalotiopsis but will have a basics of blueberry production presentation as well and an opportunity to interact with other growers from across the state. This meeting is being brought to you in conjunction with the South Carolina Small Fruit Growers Association (SCSFGA).
