AgNet Media reminds citrus and specialty crop leaders across the Southeast that the Florida Citrus Show is a little more than a month away.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, March 13, in Fort Pierce, Florida. The show will be hosted at the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Indian River Research and Education Center and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service, U.S. Horticultural Research Laboratory in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Morgan Assaf, show organizer for AgNet Media, discussed the event, which will appeal to citrus and vegetable crop growers in Florida, Georgia and Alabama.

“We’re real excited for this year’s Florida Citrus Show. We’ve got a lot of good seminars coming up. We’ve got the tailgate format again this year,” Assaf said. “Some of the seminar topics, we have Jamie Fussell speaking on labor situation and H-2A. We’ve got some breakout seminars dedicated to vegetable production and Best Practices, so we’re inviting vegetable and specialty crop growers as well.”

Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. with the general session scheduled for 9 a.m. The tailgate party is slated for 11 a.m. before a complimentary lunch for all attendees.

Concurrent citrus and vegetable sessions will start at 1 p.m. They will feature experts from UF/IFAS and the USDA.

Registration is complimentary for commercial producers, farm owners and managers, crop consultants, association executives and board members, along with the government, legislative and agricultural research communities.
