Fresh market sweet corn producers are invited to participated in listening sessions with Agralytica, who is working under contract for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Risk Management Agency.
The sessions are for fresh market sweet corn producers in areas covered by the Fresh Market Sweet Corn Dollar Plan of Insurance, as well as industry members and regional insurance representatives.
Feedback is needed about potential production and revenue history policy for fresh market sweet corn.
There are four scheduled in-person listening sessions; two in Georgia and two in Florida.
Georgia’s first session was held on Tuesday in Bainbridge. The second will be held today, Dec. 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the University of Georgia Stripling Irrigation Research Park in Camilla, Georgia.
There will also be a session on Thursday, Dec. 2 at the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Research and Education Center in Belle Glade, Florida from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The final session will be held on Friday, Dec. 3 at the UF/IFAS Tropical Research and Education Center in Homestead, Florida from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
