It is almost time for Alabama fruit and vegetable farmers to make plans for the 2027 Alabama Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association (AFVGA) Annual Conference & Trade Show, scheduled for Feb. 3-5, 2027, at The Lodge at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
The theme of next year’s event is “Built for the Challenge.” AFVGA Executive Director Blake Thaxton said the theme is a testament to the character and adaptability of Alabama fruit and vegetable growers.
“We are still centering the theme around football since the conference falls near the Super Bowl,” Thaxton said. “We recognize it’s a difficult time for farmers, but we know our growers are made for this and are more than ready for the challenge of building the industry together as a team.”
Growers and industry leaders are invited to the conference to learn, connect and prepare for the opportunities that lie ahead.
Registration for the event will open in November at AFVGA.org.
The AFVGA is an affiliate of the Alabama Farmers Federation, the state’s largest farm organization that represents more than 360,000 member families.
