AgNet Media has announced the merger of two of its print brands to create a new magazine — Specialty Crop Grower. The magazine will serve growers of fruit and vegetable crops in the Southeast.

Specialty Crop Grower Magazine

Last year, AgNet Media purchased Florida Grower, a 116-year-old magazine with a loyal following among the state’s specialty crop producers. Florida Grower joined AgNet Media’s other publications, Citrus Industry and Specialty Crop Industry.

The purchase of Florida Grower and the continued increase in specialty crop production in the Southeast led to the decision to merge Florida Grower and Specialty Crop Industry starting in January 2024. While both magazines are strong titles on their own, Specialty Crop Grower will offer even more value to its readers in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and the Carolinas.

“Specialty Crop Grower allows us to maximize and streamline our editorial coverage and better targets our circulation, which will provide unparalleled reach for our advertisers,” said Robin Loftin, president of AgNet Media. “The new title emphasizes our commitment to serving the growers who represent the Southeast produce industry.”

Citrus Industry magazine, another historic brand with more than 100 years of publication, will continue to serve citrus growers in Florida and other citrus-producing states with enhanced circulation and editorial focus.
