Most of the Southeast region has sufficient moisture. The only abnormally dry conditions are seen in part of Florida and North Carolina, according to the most recent release of the U.S. Drought Monitor.

Multiple counties in southern Florida are abnormally dry. The dry conditions start as far north as Brevard, Osceola, Polk and Hillsborough counties and stretch southward to Charlotte, Hendry and Palm Beach counties. The dry area also stretches from Manatee and Sarasota counties along the west coast to Indian River, Saint Lucie and Martin counties along the east coast.

There are no dry conditions being reported in either Alabama or Georgia. Both states have sufficient moisture, as does South Carolina.

North Carolina’s dry conditions are mostly isolated to counties in the central and eastern areas of the state.
