CHARLOTTE – Fresh-cut North Carolina Christmas trees will be arriving at the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market Friday for shoppers eager to get a jump on their holiday decorating. To accommodate shoppers, the market will be open every Sunday, Nov. 27 to Dec. 18, from noon to 5 p.m.

“Our state is renowned for its Christmas trees, ranking second in production in the country and having won bragging rights to send 14 North Carolina Christmas trees to the White House – more than any other state,” said North Carolina Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler. “That means tree shoppers have access to the freshest trees available or can make a fun family activity by visiting a tree farm in the state and selecting their own tree. When you buy a fresh North Carolina tree, wreaths or other holiday greenery, you are helping support our local farmers.”

In addition to the added Sunday hours, regular market hours are Tuesday through Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Shoppers can also find fresh, local products for their Thanksgiving meal at the market, plus shop for holiday gift baskets.

The Charlotte Regional Farmers Market is one of four, state-operated farmers markets located across North Carolina. The Market is located at 1801 Yorkmont Rd, Charlotte, NC 28217. For more information visit or follow the market on Facebook.
