Blueberry Commodity Commission Nominations

Nomination forms can be found at – agr.georgia.gov/cpf, under the nomination form tab or by emailing  andy.harrison@agr.georgia.gov. Nominations will be accepted through email or by mail at Andy Harrison, Georgia Dept of Agriculture, 19 Martin Luther King Dr, Room 324, Atlanta, GA 30334.

Georgia Agriculture Commodity Commissions were established to help producers, like blueberry growers, by representing and supporting a specific commodity. Assessments collected through a farmer approved marketing order can be used for research, education and marketing of the commodity.

Appointments for the commission will be made by the Commodity Commission Ex Officio Committee in July. Those appointed will serve for three years, though they can be reappointed for additional terms. Members will attend regular meetings and make decisions on behalf of the producers.
