AgNet Media reminds growers, consultants and industry leaders that registration is currently open for the Florida Ag Expo, scheduled for Nov. 9 at the Gulf Coast Research and Education Center in Wimauma, Florida. Josh McGill, show director for AgNet Media, discussed the hype surrounding this year’s show.
“We’re super excited for this year’s show. Registration is already open. We do encourage growers that are interested in coming to get online and pre-register. That’ll put them in the running for the John Deere gun safe donated by Everglades Equipment Group,” McGill said. “All you’ve got to do to be eligible for that is be a commercial grower in the state and pre-register online at our website at floridaagexpo.net\attend.”
The expo will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 5 pm.
McGill said AgNet and the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences are collaborating on the seminar program lineup.
“Hopefully, it’ll be coming out in the next few weeks here. We’re looking to bring a variety of topics, from pests and diseases, our different central Florida crops as well as looking at a lot of technology. The Gulf Coast Research Center is on the cutting edge of agricultural technology in the state. They’re getting excited about opening up a new AI (artificial intelligence) center down there at that facility. We’re going to do a peek into that as part of the program as well as talk about some other technologies on the horizon for ag and ag in Florida.”
