Registration is currently underway for the Southeast (SE) Regional Fruit and Vegetable Conference, scheduled for Jan. 9-11, 2025 in Savannah, Georgia.
The three-day event is catered to specialty crop producers in the Southeast, including Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina and North Carolina.
Chris Butts, executive director of the Georgia Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association (GFVGA), talked about what attendees can expect from this year’s conference.
“We’re less than two months away. Registration looks great. We watch hotels and all, and pickups there have been really solid,” Butts said. “I think this year the education lineup that we have will be the best ever. We’ve got a lot of issues that we’re dealing with across the industry. It’s more important than ever to be informed. It’s more important than ever to know how the decisions you’re making on a day-to-day basis are impacting the bottom line of your farm. I think this year’s Southeast Regional will be the most information-packed that we’ve had to date.
“The tradeshow is sold out. We are so grateful for our exhibitors and look forward to another great event with them too.”
The GFVGA will hold its annual meeting on Thursday, Jan. 9 at 5 p.m. It is open to all GFVGA members.
The annual awards breakfast will be held at the Westin on Saturday, Jan. 11, starting at 8 a.m.
An industry roundtable will also occur on Saturday, Jan. 11, from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Westin.
Educational sessions will be held on all three days.
