The Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association honored Sprouts Farmers Market with its 2023 Customer of the Year Award during FFVA’s 79th annual convention at The Ritz-Carlton in Naples last month.

The annual award recognizes the important role that food service and retail merchandising play in the promotion and sale of fresh Florida produce. It is given to a valued partner that has worked with producers to promote Florida products.

“Sprouts Farmers Market has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to promoting Florida produce, forging strong relationships with our state’s agricultural operations, and heightening consumer awareness on the importance of supporting Florida growers,” said Jeff Goodale,  Sr. Director of Sales Strategy and Analysis for Duda Farm Fresh Foods, who chairs FFVA’s Supply Chain Management Committee. “We applaud Sprouts’ contributions and look forward to continued collaboration in advancing Florida’s agricultural excellence.”

Sprouts Farmers Market has developed strong relationships with agricultural operations across the state, including FFVA members, and features Florida blueberries, citrus, strawberries, sweet corn, watermelons and more at their locations statewide. Consumers visiting Sprouts Farmers Market can find information about the locally sourced fruits and vegetables in their stores through print, digital and social media advertising.

Established in Chandler, Ariz., in 2002, Sprouts Farmers Market counts on more than 380 locations across the country and employs over 31,000 team members. Since opening its first store in Florida in 2017, Sprouts has been rapidly expanding across the state, with 43 locations.
