Sweet Grown Alabama’s next big event will involve specialty crop growers and industry leaders from across the state. The organization’s sixth annual Farm to Table dinner is slated for Thursday, Aug. 13 at Lazenby Farms in Auburn, Alabama.
Aisling Walding, Assistant Director of Sweet Grown Alabama, discussed the event, which will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
“So, on Aug. 13 at Lazenby Farms, we are going to be hosting our farm to table dinner. And that is a just huge community event where we invite the public, we invite farmers that we work with, we invite legislate tours, mayors that are in the town, and our sponsors, of course, are able to come,” Walding said. “We have everything from the food grown on the table to a little take home gift for attendees, the flowers grown on the table, a local chef prepares the food. It is just a wonderful way for us to celebrate local products in one night. And that is such a fun event.”
The event will be held at 11546 Society Hill Road, Auburn, Ala. 36830.
