The 2019 Vegetable & Specialty Crop (VSC) Expo saw great success as growers piled into the Lee Civic Center on Aug. 15–16 in North Fort Myers, Florida. Attendees experienced a dynamic trade show and seminar sessions tailored toward vegetable and specialty crop growers. The educational program, titled “Growing Stronger,” featured presentations on the latest research from the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS).
The first day of the program focused on fruit and vegetable production in South Florida, while the second day homed in on different alternative crops for Florida growers to consider, as well as pest management strategies.
If you were unable to attend VSC Expo, or if you missed some of the presentations, you can now view them online. VSC Expo speakers have given public access to their PowerPoint presentations so growers can catch up on what they missed.
More presentations will continue to be added, so be sure to stay tuned.
VSC Expo would like to thank Gene McAvoy with UF/IFAS for his guidance and expertise in creating the VSC seminar program.
The 2020 VSC Expo will return to the Lee Civic Center on Aug. 12–13, 2020.
