Fall weather has made an appearance in Florida, and AgNet Media knows just how to celebrate. Join us Nov. 9 for the Florida Ag Expo at the Gulf Coast Research and Education Center (GCREC) in Wimauma for a fall tailgate party. The event includes more than 50 of your favorite agricultural companies, exceptional seminar sessions, giveaways, field tours and a craft beer tasting.
Tailgate Trade Show
This isn’t your average trade show! The show will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Arrive early for a delicious Cuban breakfast and begin networking with exhibitors. From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the trade show will become a tailgate party. Exhibitors will be showcasing their companies straight from their tailgates while offering samples of your favorite tailgate treats. The tailgate hub, located in the middle of the trade show, will be the central hangout for networking with your peers while playing a game of cornhole.
Cash Giveaway
Be sure to visit every exhibitor and take part in a fun and friendly competition! Exhibitors will be competing to be named the tailgate food champion. The winner depends on growers votes, so take your time to sample their delicious snacks. Turn in your voting card for a chance to be the lucky grower who wins $500 cash!
Exceptional Seminar Sessions
The seminar sessions at the Florida Ag Expo are definitely something to look forward to. Be ready for the general session at 9 a.m. After the tailgate party, take the opportunity to learn about compelling new research during breakout sessions. Growers can choose from two different topics: pest management updates or novel technologies and plant traits. A complete seminar program is available here.
Field Tour and Beer Tasting
The day will end with field tours starting at 2:15 and 2:30 p.m. Growers will see firsthand what goes on in the GCREC research plots. The field tours conclude with a local craft beer tasting in the hop yard. There is nothing like a cold beer to end an eventful day!
