Registration Ongoing for Tomato Conference

Registration is ongoing for the 2024 Florida Tomato Conference, slated for Thursday, Sept. 5, at the John Boy Auditorium in Clewiston, Florida. The conference is presented by the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) and the Florida Tomato Committee.

The cost is free for employees of Florida tomato farmers, packers, sponsors, presenters and university affiliates. Late registration incurs a $50 fee.

The Tomato Institute will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and include presentations pertaining to the tomato industry, like phosphorous fertilization, target spot, weed management and tomato breeding. Product presentations will be given from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a steak lunch.

The conference will conclude with a Food Safety Workshop, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The CCA and CEU credits can be obtained for select portions of the Florida Tomato Institute.
