The Florida Fertilizer & Agrichemical Association (FFAA) presented its highest honor, the Lifetime Achievement Award, to longtime industry leader John Baxter during the association’s Annual Meeting in July. The award was presented by FFAA Chairman Eric Johnson, recognizing Baxter’s enduring contributions to Florida agriculture and the agrichemical industry.

A Florida native, Baxter’s agchem journey began in 1989 and reached new heights when he joined Helena Agri-Enterprises in 1993. Over three decades, he served as a sales leader, product manager, strategic account manager and Division Manager for Florida and later for the entire Southeast.

Known for his no-nonsense “Baxter-isms” and people-first philosophy, Baxter was elected FFAA Chairman in 2019. He guided the association through the COVID-19 pandemic with steady leadership, creative problem-solving and a commitment to FFAA’s mission of promoting responsible fertilizer and pesticide use in Florida.

“John Baxter exemplifies servant leadership and lifelong dedication to agriculture,” said Chairman Eric Johnson. “It’s an honor to recognize him with FFAA’s Lifetime Achievement Award.”
