The Florida Fruit and Vegetable Association (FFVA) has a new chairman in Adam Lytch, who will serve a two-year term through 2028.

Lytch, with L&M Family Farms in Palatka, Florida, attended the International Fresh Produce Association Global Produce and Floral Show on Oct. 14-16 in Orlando, Florida. He discussed his new leadership position with FFVA in an interview with AgNet Media.

“I’ve had the pleasure of serving on the FFVA board for a long time now, I think 16 or 17 years. I’ve been around the association a long time,” Lytch said. “I think a lot of the association. We’ve got a great leader, a great staff. We do a lot of good work on behalf of the specialty crop industry in the state of Florida.

“I’m honored for the opportunity to get the chair. It’s a two-year term, and there’s a lot going on. I mean we’ve got a lot of priorities, both at the state level and at the national level. We’re constantly advocating for the industry as a whole so to get the help and being the face of that is quite the honor. I’m excited for my tenure coming up.”

Lytch’s appointment was made at the association’s annual meeting on Sept. 22.
