Growers and industry leaders are ready for the return of the Citrus, Vegetable and Specialty Crop Expo in August, says Josh McGill, show director.
After being held virtually in 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic, the annual two-day event returns in-person this year.
“Not only are we excited but the exhibitors are excited. The sponsors and growers we’ve talked to are all looking forward to being able to get back out and see each other and fellowship. That’s a big part of this event, being able to see all their fellow growers and just have a good time together,” McGill said. “I think everyone’s really excited and looking forward to being back in person this year.”
Event Specifics
The event is scheduled for Aug. 18-19 at the Lee Civic Center in North Fort Myers, Florida. Preregistration is now open! All preregistered growers will be eligible for a chance to win a John Deere gun safe, courtesy of Everglades Equipment Group. To preregister, click here or call 352-671-1909.
There will be education programs for citrus producers and vegetable and specialty crop growers, as well as live equipment demonstrations.
“We have quite the seminar schedule this year. We’re really expanding on the vegetable and specialty crop side. We’ll have them in a much bigger seminar hall this year. So, we’re adding to those seminars and trying to offer as much as we can for the growers,” McGill said.
There will also be a Florida Ag Issues session on the second day. It will address various topics pertinent to all Florida growers, including trade impact, labor concerns and the lingering impact of COVID-19.
Due to a staggering amount of support, we are sold out of indoor exhibitor space, but there are outdoor booths available. If you would like to exhibit outdoors or if you would like to be added to the waiting list for an indoor space, please fill out a registration form.
