Southeast specialty crop producers are reminded that Friday, Aug. 15 is the deadline to preregister for the Citrus & Specialty Crop Expo, scheduled for Aug. 20-21 at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, Florida.

Those interested can click here for the conference agenda. The trade show will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 20 and from 8 a.m. to noon on Aug. 21.

The general session will cover various topics, including labor, farm policy, disaster relief, farm economy and more. Breakout sessions will focus on citrus and specialty crops.

Don’t miss your chance to preregister and skip the on-site registration line at the Citrus & Specialty Crop Expo. All preregistered growers will be automatically entered for a chance to win a John Deere gun safe, courtesy of Everglades Equipment Group.

Florida restricted-use pesticide license continuing education units will be available for both sessions. Also, the citrus sessions will offer Certified Crop Adviser CEUs.

AgNet Media strives to keep this event free for growers, grove owners and decision makers. It requires vendors, which includes all those who sell services or goods to the grower community, to purchase admission passes. The vendor registration fee is $250.

Grove owners and managers, citrus production managers, professional crop advisers, association representatives, board members and the citrus research community receive complimentary attendance and complimentary breakfast and lunch on both days of Citrus & Specialty Crop Expo.
