Pre-registration for the upcoming Citrus, Vegetable and Specialty Crop Expo, scheduled for Aug. 18-19 in North Fort Myers, Florida, closes Thursday, August 12 at 11:59 a.m.
The annual conference returns to an in-person event this year after last year’s virtual show amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The two-day event will feature a citrus session on Wednesday, Aug. 18. Growers and industry leaders can learn about all things related to citrus, including management of black spot, arthropod pests, soil health, irrigation and nutrient management, better management practices for groves infected with HLB, as well as different strategies to reduce fruit drop and improve fruit quality.
On Thursday, Aug. 19, there will be an Ag issues session in the morning that will highlight the impact of imports on Florida’s fruit and vegetable growers, carbon markets, labor and COVID-19. The afternoon portion will focus on vegetables and specialty crops; including insect management, disease challenges in Southwest Florida watermelons, hops, muscadine grapes and hemp.
