
Georgia grape producers should mark their calendars for upcoming meetings, to be hosted by the University of Georgia (UGA) Extension Viticulture Team.
Topics to be covered include best practices for shoot thinning, muscadine spacing, spotted lanternfly management and key regulatory changes involving Mancozeb and the Endangered Species Act.
The first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 14 at the UGA Tifton Campus in Tifton, Georgia, located at 2356 Rainwater Road. The meeting will focus mainly on muscadines.
Another meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 16 at the Dahlonega Parks and Rec Building at 365 Riley Road in Dahlonega, Georgia. The meeting will focus on bunch grapes.
The final meeting is slated for Tuesday, Nov. 4 at the Gilmer County Library Basement at 268 Calvin Jackson Drive in Ellijay, Georgia. It will also have a bunch grape focus.
